What is the NHH Water Efficiency Collaboration Portal?
The NHH Water Efficiency Collaboration Portal is a unique online engagement platform developed to address inefficiencies in the current fragmented landscape of water efficiency services. At present, businesses and multi-site organisations face a confusing mix of initiatives from different market players, often leading to duplication of effort and increased administrative costs.
This portal eliminates those barriers by providing a single customer journey where businesses can:
- Access tailored water-saving solutions in real time.
- Complete self-audits and receive recommendations based on postcode and SPID data.
- Benchmark their performance and track measurable progress through interactive dashboards.
The platform is first trialled in the Water Resources East region, an area under significant water stress, with participation from multiple Wholesalers, Retailers, NAVs, and Self-Supply Licence Holders. By offering equal access to all market participants, the portal ensures fair competition, full transparency, and compliance with industry rules. If successful, the trial will support a wider national rollout.
The NHH Water Efficiency Collaboration Portal has been awarded funding through the Market Improvement Fund (MIF), recognising its potential to deliver significant water savings, strengthen collaboration across the market, and support national efficiency and sustainability targets. This grant underlines the importance of the project in driving innovation and measurable improvements within the non-household water sector.
