The NHH Water Efficiency Collaboration Portal has officially gone live in the beginning of September, marking a significant milestone in the drive to improve water efficiency across the UK business sector. The project has been awarded funding from the Market Improvement Fund (MIF), recognising its potential to deliver innovation, measurable savings, and long-term industry improvements. Delivered by Save Water Save Money and proudly sponsored by The Water Retail Company, the portal is designed to simplify and streamline access to water-saving solutions for non-household (NHH) customers.
Accessible now at www.business.getwaterfit.co.uk, the platform enables businesses to register, complete self-audits, and begin receiving tailored water efficiency recommendations in real time. Updates to the pre-existing GetWaterFit platform mean that NHH customers can now actively engage with solutions designed for the business environment, helping to shape future water use strategies.
The portal addresses inefficiencies in the fragmented landscape of water efficiency services. Instead of navigating multiple initiatives from Wholesalers, Retailers, and Third Parties, businesses can now access a single, free-to-use online journey. By capturing postcode- and SPID-level data alongside customer self-audit results, the system provides precise recommendations, measurable savings, and progress dashboards.
The trial is being run in the Water Resources East region, one of the most water-stressed parts of the UK, with contributions from Wholesalers, Retailers, NAVs, and Self-Supply Licence Holders.
With the platform now live, we encourage businesses to set up accounts, explore the customer journey, and begin engaging with the tools available. By reducing duplication, increasing transparency, and empowering businesses with actionable insights, this platform will not only help customers save water and costs but also support the broader sustainability and efficiency objectives of the water sector.
